the seashore with "her senior" before College opens.
Mother and I went to the 9:06 train with her -
but it didn't come till quarter of ten, so we had quite a visit -
Washed the dishes when we got home. Intended to go to Con's but of course it was too late. He has
a furnished home at 35 Harper St.Sept 8 Tues.
Nothing special. Helen was in
today and
Mary came over and spent the evening
and we had a very nice old-fashioned time.
Sept 9. Wed
Real warm. This evening Mother & I called
at Con's but they were out (up the
river) Walked over to Mrs. Elwood's but she had gone
to the station to meet her family. Then went to
"Martha's" to see Lura
& "Marie" -
L. took me thro' the house - It
is simply hopeless - I don't wonder they can't possibly stay. We
had cheese and crackers in the dining room. It made me blue!
Sept. 10. Thurs.
Hot - Then stormy. Came home in the rain (running between street
cars) Papa read
"Pendennis" this evening.
Sept. 11. Fri.
A simply gorgeous day! I took the
afternoon off and Mother, "Marie" Baker and I went to the
Lake.
Mrs. B. called on a friend and
