fine climb - and Herb and his family had gone on, so "Bo-bo", as Barbara is called - could get to bed betimes (She calls Edith "O-o" and Harriette

"Sweetheart" and Mio "Aunt Pop" and Cousin Carrie "Gramy") We gathered our possessions together and well loaded, started out the north side of the clove (we came in the south) and found Clarence
waiting at the gate - after a lovely walk thro' the path down the stream and across a sunny field, with the mountains behind. We started down about half-past four, and took the "Mount Airy" road home - a most delightful one - thro' the very woodsiest of woods. We walked up a long hill and down another (Hennel's) so we had the full benefit of the delightful flowers - odors - birds and trees. We were all of us in a happy mood. Had a jolly supper - all together - and a happy evening mostly out doors - First I was in the hammock, talking to Cousin Carrie, Alice and Herb, and then Edith and I took Hansie for a moonlight walk down the gravel path, up by the summer house and around the shanty- path and the road to the south piazza
