Jun. 28 Sat. A very lovely Saturday p.m. at last. I went with Claude and some more architects and engineers down to Kodak park in a special car and thro' it, with Mr. & Mrs. Putnam, Con &c. It was quite interesting. We saw the film mixture being made. The black paper printed and cut and fixed for film. The solid being cut & converted & sorted and packed. The films (in the dark rooms) examined and put on the black paper and rolled and so on. It was quite thrilling in the dark rooms - we had to take hold of each other's hand and feel our way. When I got home I put on my bicycle skirt and went out to the park and picked daisies and listened to the band - very nice. Jun 29. Sun. It rained most of the day, but I took a long walk, riding up at Mary's where I borrowed a couple of books & had a long talk with her about going to Block Island. She is anxious I should go with her next week, but I can't because Gilmore is going away - to Ogunquit. July 1. Tues. Mary came around early this morning to see of she couldn't pursuade me to go. I suggested we go and see Helen Davis
