to Atkins "College of Physicians and Surgeons" on Prince Street, where they were sending out J.G.'s circular letters to all the voters - and worked till ten o'clock. My! but those girls slave - down in a cellar jamming a typewriter all day. With a "forelady" to hush them up &c.&c. It was rather fun for me - I did a little of everything & we got the mail off - in Pike's buggy - at ten o'clock! Oct. 31 Sat. Everyone excited about election and thousands of Cutler buttons beings distributed! Nov. 1. Sun. A beautiful, bright sunny day. Chat and Helen came over and we went out to Oak Hill Club and walked over the links which are very high and picturesque - ponds and elms and views and things. The colors were lovely too - all late - Fally. Con and Edith went up the river last night (Hallowe'en) and camped out on Black Creek and came down today. After dinner I got on Diana and took a long ride - some way out-doors was irresistible today - Went down Genesee St. past the High School foundations and the new Everest House. And other places I'd not been lately.
