a doll, played ping-pong with Gurdon
and in the evening had a jolly round of "Hearts", with
Aunt Mio and Cousin
Carrie
both playing. Nan and Alice
paddled off thro' the storm about
ten, and I went right upstairs and put a few finishing touches on my
packing &c.
Herbert left early this morning and
Anna
went to bed with a headache early this evening.
Sept. 10 Wed.
I woke up very early and it was still cloudy, but when I woke up
again - about 7:30 it was gorgeous - a clear fine cool day. I heard
Gurdon's shouts of glee over a
baby 'possum caught and given to him by "Ben" and walked over to
meet Nan and Alice before breakfast. It was such a
lovely morning - I took my last picture - an attempt at "Hansie" and
then locked my trunk and we all went over to Alice's and cut corn for drying -
Edith, Alice,
Nan and I first, then
Harriette
