6/30 "Jane"
sunset - a perfect day - We went into the woods and lay in the hammock (to the detriment of my neuralgia) and chatted with Mrs. N. and her pretty daughters -

The next day I was a good deal of a wreck. Papa and Mama

went to the Editorial Convention in June - and then to Watertown and the Hill (over Sunday) and I kept house for Zo and Zenda and "boarded" around". What would I ever do without my Mother! Char & Claude were changing girls

so I didn't go there but once - Sunday to dinner. It is beautiful up there now - so beautiful - Walter Smith and his wife and Ed. Miner & his wife are looking at the sur- rounding tract with an eye to purchase but that is almost too good to believe -

Last Saturday Mr. Flack invited me to go canoeing on the bay, and the last minute Miss Flack & a Mr. Phil Evans joined us (by car - we "byked") and we did have a most delightful trip - First
