Sept 30 Wed. Another fine sunny day. Rode up to the High School to take Helen her pictures this noon. All the boys and girls were out sunning themselves. In the evening (went to Davis's to supper) we made a book photo- graphs to send Mrs. Howson. Oct. 1 Thurs. Rain - very rainy. Busy first of month. Mrs. Bingham sick not at office Oct. 2. Friday. A very rainy morning, but a beautiful afternoon. Char. gave a luncheon for Edith and I went up with Charella (in a car- her cook was sick & had a carriage!) Mrs Charlie Robinson & Miss Pruyn were in, too. A "bubble" was in the yard - Mrs. Walter Smith's and I was introduced to her, upstairs by Mrs. Hoyt. They were just leaving. Edith was in the living room - looking very pretty & I had a nice visit with her and Mrs. Bacon (also a bride) and others. I stayed to supper with Char & Claude and some time afterward. It was gorgeous moonlight, and I walked home. Found it was only little after 8:30, so went over to the new
