Edith and I rode out to Maplewood. Before supper we sat in a bed of clover and Edith found - 3's, 4's, 5's 6's and 7's! She couldn't find an 8! I found a four - I seldom look for them. Our supper (steak) was late but we got home by 8:30 - good & sleepy. June 1 Sun. Warmer yet - but a nice morning It was cloudyish in the middle of the day, Lura, Mary & Nellie came over and we walked up to Cro'nest and I took the girls thro' it. Then we picked a lot of wild flowers and ferns and used up the film that was left, and got home about one - was going for a ride this p.m. but it was too hot. Almost went to sleep- finished "My Lady Paramount", began "The Right of Way" and after a cold bath and some thin clothes on cooled off in the hammock with Zenda & Zo gamboling around. June. 7. Sat. My first half-holiday - a sort of a dinky
