I had "Lower 9" and was very comfy. Nov. 26. Thursday Read "Indescretion of the Duchess" until bed time - about 10:30. Slept very well indeed - hardly waking to say so at stations. Several ladies on board made some waiting in the morning - but I was dressed and had my orange eaten betimes - I think a "late" bride and groom were above me. It was a lovely bright cold morning and no snow down Boston - way - Saw many of the pretty suburbs - a football game at Wellesley &c.&c. But the old train was two hours late and I never got in until nearly eleven! Gurdon was waiting in the fine new South Station, (which I'd never seen before) and we went via. the Elevated - Atlantic Ave. branch, to the Sullivan Square Station in Charlestown (?) - passing some of the old wharves, the bay - and the old ship "Constitution", Bunker Hill, Breed's Hill &c. At Sullivan Sq. we changed to a surface car for Arlington ("Somerville" car, in this case) and tho' it was crowded had a long and not unpleasant ride out thro' Cambridge, Malden,
