Aug. 9. Sun. Rain this morning, but I rather liked it. Got my unpacking &c. done - Made some prints. Claude here to dinner - Lura & her mother called in the afternoon and staid to supper. Meta & the twins

were over. After supper (& guests gone) did some writing. Aug. 10. Mon. Got "When Patty went to College" for Lura's birthday & read aloud to Mother tonight. It is quite funny & entertaining. Edith called. Aug 11. Tues. Florence Blackall gave a very nice luncheon this noon, to Miss Flack, Grace Bingham & me. We were also entertained by "Julia" the kitten. Claude started for Con's wedding (via. Syracuse & Albany) Phoned Chat, just home, and Mabel, but she'd gone to visit the MacArthur's at Canandaigua Lake. Aug 12* Wed.
Con & Edith married
Con's and Edith's wedding day. Rather cool - but nice - puffy white clouds &c. They were married at 2 - outdoors - in Malden. Alice wrote me yesterday just how it was to be (and invited me to Arlington for Thanksgiving) Lura and I were invited to Chat's to supper. (Georgian Bay blueberries &c.) She told us gay tales of Mr. Goninlock's farewell Ball at the hotel & the shipwreck at St. Helena when everyone had to stay all night &c.&c.
