Washington Thursday night - (the 7th) but the Lehigh tracks were still under and washouts all along the line - so we couldn't. J.G. tried to go to N.Y. Sunday and didn't get started till Tuesday morning & then was many hours late. Claude was stalled in Syracuse over Monday and arrived at 2 p.m. Tuesday on a train due at 4 a.m.! &c &c.

Wednesd Thursday night I went to a funny play at the Boys Evening home. (Unitarian) at Miss Blackall's
invitation. The newsboys played it "The Treason of Benedict Arnold" and one of them wrote it! It was rich - Manuel Jacobwitz - the newsboy Pres. Roosevelt knows, who was "Major Audie" in the
7th
play - saw me on the car! Friday night I went with the family to the Church supper & afterward with Edith to see Rob't Edeson play, "Soldiers of Fortune" which was fine Claude met Rob't Edeson and liked him - Lunched with him Thursday, I believe. JG is away - in N.Y. & Washington & I'm taking it rather easy.
