1902
Mother a lovely pearl and diamond and emerald brooch - with "K.E.B" and "Nov. 3, 1902" on it. She gave one like it to her mother. The davenport I gave them came today too, and Clara Wilder gave them a "beautiful" print of a red sailed channel fishing boat - "Harveyesque" - It hangs over the mantel - "Aunt Louisa" sent them some beautiful quaint Walter-Craney China - with stiff red flowers and green leaves on its. And Madeline Hoyt gave them the teatable and Jim Arnold a lovely old Japanese plaque "Claude's colors". He goes to Syracuse tomorrow on the Empire - quite tired out, I'm afraid - and Charlotte has invited me to come on Sunday. Mother and I dined with him at the Powers last night and tonight he went to Mrs. Danforth's to dinner, and Miss Wilder was there and they drank the bride's health in champagne & all. Mother and I have been to the Industrial School Donation - a good supper at Mrs. Bush's table. A chat with the Chapins & Miss Barton and "The Thomas Girls" and Rose Edith Mills Powers (looking fine) and Con to see the children's illustration
