Rudolph & Spot”
for Edith, Mary, Gertrude and me to go to Hay Island the last of August. We engaged one stenographer Miss Whitley, but she failed up & now we've engaged Miss Anderson for Aug 1st. We get nice letters from J.G. who is having an elegant time – One
(12th)
night, Claude & I went down to the Ontario to supper and saw the Japs.
(19th)
perform another evening Edith and I went down on our wheels and back on the train. Mr. Budnick, Mother & Papa are discussing Sodus Bay now. Mr. Behn is going to Germany next week. Aug 15th
(Jul 28.)
The next Sunday after I wrote or July 28 Edith and I went up to Geneseo, via Conesus Lake and the little boat and Mr. Joiner met us at Long Point & drove us up to the top of the hill – to his farm. It was a hot very windy day. We had a nice chicken dinner and I saw and photographed all of Zo and Zen's cat relations – Papa, Mama & the babies! They are all very handsome – much handsomer them the pictures show. We wandered around the “estate” a little but not much, it was so hot Edith
