clover browzed – Then we went down into the glen - & walked up – taking some pictures, but nearly got caught in a shower – rushed back (tho’ we saw a sign saying “Go slow, you have plenty of time”) & just got to the entrance-house when it poured – we stopped in & watched it and drank warmish ginger– ale which we helped ourselves to. Got home late – just in time to hustle over to May Bunnell Hartman’s to supper. Papa was there, too. Evidently May has changed very little since her marriage & “Albert

seems to have fallen into his groove. The supper was very delicious & we spent a rainy evening discussing photographs and people & things – May gave me her picture & Albert
’s in their wedding clothes - of two years ago.

Tuesday was beautiful - I went down to the library about hanging a big cast – & saw the “procession” & the Citizens Band”. The boy’s new bank,
too, and so on. Found Dem there when I returned & afterwards Mrs. A., Edith
