falls &c. We stopped & hobnobbed with the squirrels & rabbits & eagles and foxes and wolves & owls & things and then sat on the bank & looked at the view. Then went down by the ducks & chatted with a policeman & used the last of our plates (films) & then went down in the glen – got some gorgeous oak leaves – and then sat on a bench & looked down the river a while – till only just time for a glass of milk and a piece of pumpkin pie before going home. Con came in the afternoon - It rained He said he stopped for me to go riding this morning & also went up in the park & searched for me. Last week (or week before) Edith & I spent one evening with the Stull’s & had a nice time as we always do. On Thursday this
