”. The sunset was gorgeous – the stage got in early – I got
four letters and the "surledge"
had balsam in it
– so it was a successful evening – especially as a young moon set
directly opposite us, and I enjoyed a long visit in the middle sitting
room, with
Miss Dike, whom I like very much. We really stayed up
late tonight – in the office talking to

A beautiful clear – blue and white morn- ing – Mr. &
Mrs. Reynolds had told as great stories of “embracing”
dancing bears in the village last night – which were coming here
this morning – and they did - immediately after breakfast and all the
boarders and family and friends and neighbors came and looked on
which they danced and turned somersaults etc. Then they had
