horse etc. We saw the lovely turning on of the lights again at 8 o’clock, from the bridge and then went over to the New York Building and saw the electric fountain and to the Liberal Arts and saw the Tiffany fountain – a lovely combination of green and blue lights and water. We had a very good dinner at the American Inn and a cute Jap – supper at the Japanese café. “Yock – men” I had - and there was “chop suey” and delicious tea! We came home promptly at 9:30 nine car loads of us – And arrived in R. at 11:25 – 5 minutes ahead of time.

Just as I was beginning to write all this tonight (Thursday) Cad Chapin-Goler and Mr. & Mrs. Chapin came in and spent the evening – We had a real nice old fashioned visit with them. Aug 17th Sat. Last night Gertrude came again but went on to Oswego this morning we went up to Claude’s lot after supper. Trudy was charmed with it Mr. Ramsdell insisted on talking us through “the Castle”, too. Edith was
