July 18th Wed. Since I wrote last I have been “going it” more or less. Have been down to the Ide’s Lane cottage once or twice to supper - and last week to see the moon rise

(Friday) Mama & Mrs. Baker & Lura were down & Frank brought his mother and Harry Backus and a box of chocolates came. Then we went rowing after supper, too.

Saturday late p.m. with George Humphrey – after we’d been down to the lake with Claude & Con and thro’ Mr.
Sibley's
yacht “Thetis” – where Claude is now, cruising around the lake with the Sibleys

and Miss Hazel Martyn of Chicago. Monday night Miss Grace Hedges was here to supper. She’s good

fun too. Tuesday Mary & I went to see “The Charity BallOrrin Johnson was “just sweet” in it (as Grizel says) and handsomer than ever. Edith is off in Canada with Beth March for a week – and was with Mae & John at Buckhorn over Sunday. I’ve been taking “job lot pictures” trying a new camera. A

week ago Saturday I went to Buffalo Bill's Wild West with Claude. Con invited me but was sick and couldn’t go. After the Wild West (which was fine – especially our Western Cavelier bareback men & the cowboys & bronchos) we went down to the lake and in bathing and then had a nice dinner at the Ontario
