Last Friday we all (Con, Meta, Theo, “Tillie” Minges
 "Ed" Meyer, Mrs. Turpin, Arno & I) went to Dr. Davis’ and he took filled us full of elec- tricity &c &c. and took an Xray picture of my hand. The pin-point showing near my thumb was laid underneath. It was queer to see Meta's collar bone with the fluoroscope – and to see money inside our pocket books - & right thro’ the bills and thro’ our gloves – but not the buttons - &c &c. Dr. Davis gave me the negative. Apr. 21st. Fri. A long time since I’ve written. I hardly know where to begin. Well, the weather is settled & beautiful at last and April

10th Mr. Lisle let me have a Chainless Columbia (2671) – last year’s — One Mrs. Cornwell had - to try. It’s finished black & very pretty & Mr. Schenck’s sister wanted it badly. I liked it

and bought it the next Saturday. Mr. L.
 said he'd see that the tires were all right this year & gave me a break & said he’d put it on whenever I liked. I've

ridden a good many miles already and one morning this week went up to Helen’s grave - and last Saturday

too – I rode right up that bad Mt. Hope hill.
