Nov. 20. Tuesday
Now let's see what has happened. The Thursday after I wrote (Nov. 1st) was to be - and was - our 12 Perfects Annual Ball at the Davis’s - I came home feeling ill at
noon and went to bed, intending to get up at 5:30 - but I simply
couldn’t - Sent for the doctor instead and stayed in bed till
(6th)
Tuesday, Election day, with the grippe.
Had calls from Edith Joiner, Edith Corse (with crysanthemums )
Lura, Con
(with carnations) Claude (with “more
Fables”, by Geo. Ade) Mary (crysanthemum)
Helen Davis (with my prize) Meta (with a thermometer!) &c. &c.
Zo & Zen
spent some time with me too - they are lovlier then ever.
Election Day I went down in the morning. It was a per-
fect day and after lunch Mother
& I took a walk out in the park (and a couple of pictures). Then
I took the car to Mary’s (by
invitation) and spent the rest of the afternoon with her, and she
walked down with me. We have been to see Hackett in
“The Pride of Jennico" and Mary Mannering
in "Janice Meredith" lately - both “so-so”.
