– all going – Con asked me
again at 5 and at 5:30 got off his wheel and walked to Glenny’s promising me Indians and Rough
Riders and things – I told him I wouldn’t go for anything less then
a New Zealander! Nellie said
Mary had gone to Point
Breeze for a week. I saw Frank
Davis too – and after supper (and a ride to Mrs.
Setwick’s ) I had quite chat with dear lonesome Mr. Behn – who told me of the safe
arrival of Dr. Davis and his bride
&c.&c. Spent the evening tending Rudolph & writing.
July 26th Wed.
Haven’t done much lately but work and make prints - both day and
evening. Saturday Edith was
(22nd)
going to her father’s, via Conesus Lake, and
Gilmore
invited me to come down on the p.m. excursion go to the yacht race
and take supper at his cottage – returning in the evening — I locked up
my wheel & left it outside the station and didn’t tell Edith I was really going till the train
started. I told Gilmore to go and play
Pedro – & E. & I talked all the way – we all sat up
1899
and Con came up this noon to ask me
again to go – But we gave him a good dinner and I said “No” – Rode
down with Theo and
Tessie
