Wed After it was over (we sat next to Mr. Kent) we went into the new Powers Grille room and had fried oysters. It was quite metropolitan – a good deal of dressing – and we actually had to wait for a table! Tuesday (27th) Klem & I went to the gymnasium and indulged in a bath (58 degrees!) afterward and Wednesday night (28th) Helen & Chat had us over there (as the cars began running Christmas) Lura, Edith, Mary, Nellie, Miss Davis

, Miss Wesson & I. We played games a-la- shipboard – Drank punch Chat made and enjoyed the new Christmas piano. Thursday evening (29th) George Humphrey called and spent the evening & last night (30th) Miss Dowling (Gertrude's
friend) was over, & Con was here – I am making some blue print calendars for the girls. Gilmore has been home several days, sick with grippe – our Elevator is running at last (unofficially) I had a ride in it Thursday, I think it was. Today I have been working very hard – Saturday – the 1st of the month work - & Gilmore away – I went down to supper with Edith and spent a good share of the evening - she goes to see Ned Monday
