Today has been a regular winter storm 4 or 5 inches of fresh snow
this morning and more or less of it all day. I have spent it at home
in my wrapper – with the dear cats and reading Kipling
and looking at du Maurier pictures and listening to
Mother reading to Papa & me from the Outlook.
Zo was lost – away, anyway, from last
Sunday night to early Wednesday morning. We ad- vertised him in the
Wed. Morning paper. He got up early and read it & was
here by 5:30!
Jan. 15. Wed.
Tonight went to a “ball” at Lura’s.
Mrs. Penfield was there &
L. gave a Pedro party - mostly “Perfects” &
Miss Scott
& Miss Hutchinson
& Mrs. Wells
(Alice Weaver, too) Had a real good time &
delicious salad supper – as usual – Mary
got 1st prize. Helen second &
Miss Scott
booby (Score only 45 – 7 games!)
Edith & I got the quarter of twelve car home! Theo
was in it, & the Turpins, so I didn’t mind.
Jan. 17. Friday.
Tonight Mabel entertained the
“Perfects” & we decided to have
Clubs the rest of the winter (here next) Had a Jolly time & popcorn
fitters to eat. I’m Sec'y. Chat was ahead
last night. She is treasurer. Mr. Rogers played &
