1901 XXth Century
Jan. 1. Tues. A nice bright snowy morning. (I didn’t see the century come in - was so sleepy last night) Went over to the Orphan Asylum & saw the Knights give the little ones presents. After dinner went over to the Lyceum to see Henry Miller in his new play Richard Savage” which I like best of anything he has done. Quiet evening Jan 3 Thurs. Claude came home today. Mother & I have entered Zoroaster and Zenda- vesta in the Cat show - Jan 8–10 and are having great fun over it “telling them about it &c. They are dear cats. Jan 5 Sat. Claude and I went to a minstrel show Frank & Edward Bellamy & Atkinson Allen gave in the attic at 118 Merriman St. very good and great fun. Frank especially is a born comedian. Dr. Harlan was there and lovely Mrs. Allen & Jan 6 Sun. others. Went to Mary's this (Sunday) p.m. for an hour by the fire. A nice chat & wishing we were at Nantucket and then went to Lura's for her first welsh rabbit in the new chafing dish - fine - Chat &
