back in time to see Mr. & Mrs. Dumble bring
in 86 fish & Mrs. AndersonHarvey Dumble
and Miss Rice bring in 78! I took their pictures.
Two groups - and then we rushed in to dinner and felt pretty sleepy
afterward. I loafed in the hammock half the afternoon but about
half-past four rowed Gertrude
around Tidd’s Island (or Tremont Park)
in Miss Dyckman’s boat - we just loafed and saw
all the sights without getting off. It was very calm indeed! The
Trumbells took the Dyckmans &
Miss Hiam off to afternoon tea! After supper
“we-all” sailed over to town with Herbie
- rather late - to see
Mrs. Anderson, Mr. Harvey
Dumble and Mrs. Hiam and
Gerald off for Montreal on the
“Alexandria”. It was a delightful moonlight night and after the boat
had gone we all strolled over to the Inn and heard the
music and watched the moon and talked till nearly eleven and then
found Herbie
waiting for us and had a most delightful sail home by almost full
moonlight - and just a dear little tiny breeze. Later - about midnight -
we had a cracker & ham & snap & marmalade lunch.
