came back – in the tamest way - running before the wind – but very fast. Trudy went over to town after dinner, but the sea had gone down considerably tho’ there were still breakers around the “Head” – so we walked to Kalaria Mrs. Mc Connell (Mr. Mc C. rowed) “Pete Trudy, Albert Franklin, Helen Barnum Mary Allen and I – Miss Boddy (“Emmy”) and Mr. Mc C. ferried us over. “Darkey”, the dog, was with us and wept all the way across. Then devoted himself to taking stones out of the water. We went up to the house for a visit, and there all of us & Miss Boddy, Mrs. Castle, “James” & the two children all went in with us for a swim. I swam eleven strokes, in the sandy cove with both legs and without touching bottom. Carried home some nasturtiums to Mrs. Barnum, and had a little visit with her. After supper we had a climb with Mr. Harvey Dumble.
