went down and saw us off. We rowed down the lake toward
“Paul’s” (of Philadelphia) and found the name was
really “Na-wa-da-ha”. It is a beautiful “camp” which has cost
$30000, so far. Then we went around a big wood– covered island and
between it and another - and drifted down toward the boat house,
when we discovered the Colvers rowing over, so came
in. They wanted us to climb
Blue Mountain, and waited for Miss
Willson, the English girl who came last night, to go too,
while Trudy, Elsie
Clark & I went up and ordered the lunch. We got
really started shortly after eleven. The lunch in various “Pettijohn's
Breakfast food” and “Quaker Oats” packages. Got started wrong but
finally found the way all right and then met a young boy who said he had
been up five times but this morning could not find the trail because
of lumber men having left brush and logs lying in the way. Of course
we kept on never the less.
Mrs. Colver wanted to rest every five minutes about,
and I didn’t object. Between 12 and 1 we reached the spring and all had
lunch.
