Saw a dory come in breaking an oar thro’ the surf – learned about blue – fishing – read “Tommy & Grizel had a long visit with Mrs. Waring & Miss Getty & got so sunburned that Mr. G.

remarked upon it after supper. I was late again. After supper Miss Arnold – (of Philadelphia) took us 4 down to “Low Beach” – a long but magnificent walk – to see the big breakers – huge ones. It was worth it – after the tales of wrecks Capt. Folger told me. Sankaty Light lit us home and soon as the mail came & I’d answered Claude’s letter (about his yachting trip with the Sibley’s) I came up to bed – we have a new bride & groom here – Rev.
& Mrs. E. B. Smith of Elizabeth N.J. They “spooned” on the beach this p.m.
