Jan. 2. Monday Went over to the Orphan Asylum for a little while but not for long. Con came to dinner – at 4 or so I went to the Y.W.C.A. reception & saw a game of basket ball, and then – at seven to Lura’s to supper – Mary & Nellie & Laura Hutchinson & I were Lura’s & “Sweet Marie’s” guest & had a delicious chicken & green pea – & squash &c.&c. supper — fine. Edith came later & we talked a good deal & played “stop” – Edith had been to Ned's & reports her looking fine – Freddie went to the falls too – for several days – Home on the 11:30! Jan. 3. Tues. “Blue Tuesday”- but our Elevator running regularly at last — Everyone sick with the grippe. Went to Burton Holmes first lecture tonight – very good - Mrs. Davis & Frank Jan. 5. Tues. sat with me. Thurs. I went to the second “Into Morocco” – also good – Mrs. Davis & Mary Farley, the moving pictures were good, too. Chat is sick with the grippe & I sent her all my lovely new Dumaurier books to look at – Yesterday,
