to learn swimming with Mrs. Judd and Miss Newman (who only looks on) We go to “Petz’s baths” and Mr. Schmidt puts us on the end of a pole and we kick &c.

The other hot Sunday Con & I went down to the Lake and went in & he showed me how to swim on my back. Charlotte was here in the afternoon (she & Claude were on the shore in the morning) and in the evening Con took me up the river in a canoe. Mr. Budnick

(our roomer) took Edith and me up the afternoon before – in a rowboat. Last

Saturday Mary, Edith and I went down to the vacation home “Corona Cliff” and sat in our old piazza overlooking the bay and had supper and then went down to Sea Breeze and sat on the shore a while. We came home between 8 and /9. Helen Davis is in Ogunquit. Chat is going to Blue Mt. House in August – and the plan is now
