Had a long talk with Gilmore today (about salary etc.) and with J. W. yesterday. Oct. 28 Sat. Staid home this morning – with a headache and this p.m. went down & labored tho’ J.G. wasn’t there. Stopped at Lura's room a minute & at Edith's and we went down to Scrantom's & Gillette
happened to come in. He looks just the same off the stage except that he is not pale & his hair is brown - not black - He dresses as he does on the stage & is slim, tall & graceful – quite “all right”. Oct. 29 Sun. Loafed all the morning & read Harper’s after dinner Edith came & I dressed up in my new gray silk waist and we stopped for Mary & then went over to Lura's to tea. Had a real nice time walked home about 9 o’clock. Someway I can’t write details as I used to, but I guess it’s just as well. We girls try to dine – or lunch – together every Friday now, at Sibley’s.
