Last Saturday night Amelie,

came over and Claude gave a legerdemain
performance. It was great fun. In the afternoon I met Mary at Lura’s & afternoon
Edith found us and we went shopping.
Mary wanted me to go over to Lura’s

Sunday afternoon (she’d invited us) so we did – Edith came later and acted so “steamed”
that Lura & Mrs. B. noticed it. We had a very nice time – Rode home.
Monday was Mary’s 21st birthday
& her father gave her a gold watch – she’d always wanted one – I
gave her Steve Crane's “Active Service” and
Gillette's picture which pleased her. I walked up
with her once or twice.

This week and last night she & Edith
and Con were up and we had a
jolly evening sitting round the fire talking, eating 10 ¢ candy and
looking at Con’s photograph’s – and
