May 17th Friday
Two things have happened lately. Meta
and Theo were married Tuesday (14th)
and I had a birthday yesterday! Mo
Sunday it rained. Monday was dark and dismal Tuesday it brightened
up a bit and the wedding went off quietly -
Mama & Papa were there – Meta -
whom I saw when she went away looked really very lovely – Theo looked fine, too, and so happy! I had a
good bye chat with him on the stairs when he came over to dress.
They went to the train with Amelie
&
John, Howie (on the box) and Arno,
Miss Boschat and Spahn, the
Russian in a red wheeled runabout. I tried to take their pictures but it
was dark. Yesterday I was as generously remembered as ever.
Mama gave me a fine big real alligator satchel and Papa a journal – Claude
L'Aiglon
and “The Stage in America” – Edith
“Hamlet” (Sothern's) & a pillow cover
and Lura the pillow – Chat violets and a green vase,
Kate
