Holloran's on 6th ave. betw. 14th & 15th for dinner and then walked up to the Empire and saw "Mrs. Dane's Defense" which was fine. We both enjoyed it immensely - Charles Richman takes the part of quite an elderly man & Jessie Millward is his charming friend & Miss Angelin ('Mrs. Dane') is the would be bride of his son & it all leads up to a wonderful act where, believing her innocent, he makes her confess her guilt and is very tragic & natural and emotional needless to say, all the accessories are perfect. It was raining when we came out but not seriously. Our sofa- bed looked more alluring than it did in the morning and felt so. Mar. 15th We never woke up till nearly nine. Dressed, breakfasted around the corner and shopped all up and down 6th ave. and Broadway - Ending with a swell little dinner at Wanamaker's - where I left Mary to go to the Carruther's up in Bronx - and I went down to Staten
