We went to the theatre “just as we were” & Mary Irwin is certainly very funny – The part in it where the man hangs a picture - or tries to! and the euchre party! – and the songs! all very good. It was still snowing when we came out and I never saw so many carriages in Clinton St (only room for a single line of them between drifts – We walked home – Court St. Bridge was the worst of the wilderness but we found a narrow trail near

the railing. Friday morning was just as bad – storm-wise – but more side- walks shoveled – I started down - rather late – to walk – but a kind Lyell Ave. StoreWoodbury – grocery man” invited me to ride & was really enter- taining. It seems he's a tumbler and the top man in a pyramid of 5 when they “Pile up” – etc. etc.! Armies of men were shoveling in the midst of the storm – down town – but no cars running. Our two on Exchange St. were about 2 lengths below where they were shoveling them out last night – and abandoned to await fair weather.
