Bohemian tea – Mrs. Hoyt, Miss Clara Wilder, Miss Scott, Claude, Con, Harvey & myself very jolly & quaint & English & funny – almost like one of Henry James “teas” – only of course all of us weren’t so terribly smart. I think Miss Wilder is charming. She reminds me a bit of Annie Irish – in attitude, pose & profile. It was such a dear golden brown October day & sweet – hazy smelling delicious moonlight October night!

Friday night I rode out to the park & staid till dark. The river was perfectly still & full of the loveliest grays.

Tonight I went to the Livingston to supper with Claude & today had lunch with Edith at “Lotspikes” – Lura is going to N.Y. Tuesday. It is lovely weather & we are all feeling pretty well but dear MotherPapa went to the Hill today to spend Sunday- on his way to Watertown. Con & Claude went to Oswego yesterday. Higgins house
is “the best thing they ever did”. They’ve been trying for two weeks to have the International Yacht races off Sandy Hook & not one day of wind yet!
