June 18. Sun. Nearly a month since I've written in this journal – thing – but I’m tired of recording the things I don’t care straws about for the sake of the things I do – and don’t have time to, really.

Let’s see. The Saturday after I wrote last I went to Dansville - with Papa - and spent Saturday - night, Sunday, Monday & part of Tuesday, Decoration Day with Mrs. Andrews. It rained some of course, but was altogether pleasant. The Library Saturday night – church and the new

minister Sunday and seeing lots of old friends &c. Papa came back to dinner with us – and then we called on Dem and later went to the Sanitarium, where we got caught in a shower & sat on the piazza & waited – talking to a nice setter - dog. Helen Noyes Baker was up there & they say Admiral Dewey's nephew & Henry James' brother are stopping there. I went driving with the Dr. in the

evening & Monday morning. We had little Marguerite Herrick, the minister’s four-year-old, in too. In the p.m. the Dr. took me “up on Sandy Hill while he was visiting his patient I sat in the carriage & reread “Dolly Dialogues" and
