"A Night Off" 22th & 25th
May 2. Tuesday.
Cyclom 4900
A perfectly lovely May-day. The leaves just the most bewitching size. The weather lovely and everything fine of fragrance and beauty. The last few days we've had some showers (mostly in the night) & they’ve just made
(28)
things burst out. Last week Tuesday we went to Baker's & heard “A night off” & Cad Chapin came up Thursday & wanted me to go again. So I did!
(29)
Saturday – Papa's birthday, he came home & stayed till yesterday
(30)
p.m. Sunday I took his picture & Mama's in uncertain light - & Claude & I took some in the park in the morning – we took a ride then. I had ridden to Brighton before break- fast and almost got caught in a storm - & in the afternoon I rode to the lake with Con – & back. We went Zipping & Diana acted “smooth”. Con claimed I tired him all out! We stopped to get a bug out of his eye – to look at the falls & to indulge in phosphate. I had a bath & bread - milk & then went to bed early - Record 35 miles for the day!
