the Venetian cafe in the Midway. They lit
the lights (by moonlight) at 6:15 and it was lovelier than ever. Then we
went in the Liberal Arts Bldg. for awhile I introduced
myself to Mrs. Charlie Kent in Tiffany's. We went
down the
Midway again – before going home about 8:30 (second sections)
Hilda's train went about the
same time ours did – Edith
and I sat near her Aunt. I took my last look at the beautiful
tower in the moonlight. Con took
these pictures the Saturday after, the last day of all. Was home by 10:45.
Oct. 27. Sunday
Sunday was lovely. In the afternoon
Edith and I went up to
Ballentine Bridge for honey. We went out on
the new river cinder–path and back
the Scottsville path – and walked along the
river, coming back for a couple of miles to the
Scottsville path and came across thro
Elmwood Ave
and by Claude’s foundation, home.
Nov 3 Sunday
His house is getting along fine. Last Sunday a perfect day –
Chattie Davis and I spent an
hour or so up there – in the woods and on the lumber pile.
