- & Mrs. K. rode
home with me. I’ve been up to the park twice (once tonight before supper way over by
“Gen Jackson”) and met Miss Hathaway
of the Shubert Co. riding with Mr.
Camp. Con came for me last
night, but I was going out. We have been to the
Shubert’s every week and they average pretty good. Last
(20th)
night we sat down stairs – in honor of Helen’s birthday – I sitting between
Chat & Mrs.
Armstrong. Mary decided
to go the last minute – when she &
Edith & I had lunch together at noon
she wasn’t going. I have seen two fine things – One “The
Liars” – Jno. Drew’s Company – Con took me. There were sermons in that
& it was magnificently put on – The Thames &
London & English Society. The other was
James Hearne & his family & many others in
(13th)
"Griffith Davenport" - as finished a thing as I ever
saw – over 40 characters and every one perfect – we all went (the
family.)
