Mch. 11. Sat.
There doesn’t seem to be much to write now-days. Life goes on just
the same. Last Sunday Will was
here and brought
Ned's book plan
cover designs - & looked at her pictures. He doesn’t care for the ones
I like most. I am very sorry for him. Today Francis
Wilson is in town & Papa &
Mama have been to the matinee of the
“Little Corporal” – and enjoyed it. Last week
Edith& I saw the
Shuberts in “Alabama” – which I didn’t like
very much – and this week we went to “Camille” – Mary & I had a jolly time together,
for it struck us funny, rather than sad, in some parts & people
behind made us laugh. Con has gone to
N.Y. this week. I went to
Chat's to supper tonight & took her her
book plate – She was perfectly delighted & pasted it first in
the books I’d given her &c. Hilda wrote me another nice letter the other day – She's
going to Maude’s for
Easter. I’m reading “David Harum” and The
Browning’s love letters. Con & I called on
Mae & John the other night – late. Tomorrow is Mary's birthday & I'm going to give her
“Many Inventions”. Mr. Kipling is
getting well! but his little daughter Josephine
