1901.
I went up to Louise Randall's (Bradstreets) and spent the afternoon hearing all about Swampscott &c.&c. stopped at Lura's coming home. Feb. 10 Sun. Lovely bright sunny morning after a week of snow. Claude and I walked up to see the lot he is going to buy – near Mt Hope Avenue at the top of the city. A beautiful view all around and big trees and things I think it is fine. We waded to our knees in snow and came home feeling fine. Charlotte was coming here last Sunday but was too tired out and used up – so Claude went down there again. He got the President's medal again at the League – for a poster. Mch. 2. Sat. Nothing of special interest. Bought a “portrait attach ment” to my Kodak this week and tried it

on the Kittens. Thursday went down to Lulu Graves with Helen & Charlotte & discussed “poor Yurrup." Miss Graves went last summer and has load of pictures. We staid very late. I’ve had some jolly letters from Hilda. It has snowed about everyday for a month & been fine winter weather. Claude goes skating which seems to do him a good deal of good. He went down to N.Y. to the League again this year - with Harry and his “Wetzel” clothes.
