Last night we had our exhibition at the gymnasium – Mama & Mrs. Davis were there, & Mary & Edith – it was quite fine. Today we got word from Will “girl” Girl – eleven – thirty last night. Both doing well – will write and were all surprised it wasn’t “Jack
” as expected – but “Phyllis
” is all right (Aunt Tapioca says) I wrote her a letter tonight. Feb. 5. Sunday
Feb. 4 Mr. Tate (Stony Lake) died
Lovely winter day – I went down to the lake with Con this p.m. & we climbed out over the ice and to the end of the pier. It was fine. Edith was here when we got back & staid to supper. Georgie Harris died last week quite suddenly of appendicitis.
