Then back to the Cutler Bldg. where we saw the big parade - Mama from the middle office with the Gilmores & the Gutmans, Flack, Con &c. down on Hovey’s roof. We had a jolly time. After– ward Miss Gutman’s brother soda-watered us (we saw the fire dept. run - thro’ the crowds) and then parted. I rode up East Ave. but the decoration didn’t begin with Plymouth Ave. Went to Mary’s for half an hour’s chat. Edith came up after supper & we went down on the river bank & saw beautiful fire– works. Afterward chatted with the boys. Today I went to the matinee. Too tired to do anything else – Everett King played “Romeo” not badly. The boys have gone over to see Harry Wilkinson. To go back to June 17 two weeks ago today. Mr. Wilkinson was here to dinner he & Claude & Burgess & Con & I spent good deal of the p.m. in the front yard. Finally, when they had gone to tea – I took a bicycle ride no - see next p. Monday Claude, Burgess - Mr. & Miss Wilkinson, Mr. Hoyt & I went down to the Lake & thro’ the Stein cottage
