Claude. Monday night I went to see Orrin Johnson & Jessie Bonesteel in Romeo & Juliet”. The best Romeo I ever saw, and I’m not sure it wasn’t the best “Juliet”. Cad went with me & we enjoyed it hugely – the 3rd row from the front.

Tuesday Miss G. & I had our nicest game of golf yet – played 9 holes & stayed till

after the moon rise – Wednesday night we went down to Seneca Park to see the camp of regulars – (“Otis Camp”), quite a sight too, hospital tents – artillery dress parade, supper getting & eating

Thursday night Cad & I went again to see “Faust” at the Baker – very spectacular like Ben as “Quo Vadis” was last week
(15th)
Friday was “Otis Day” and a big day. Band concerts in the morning. The beautiful Arch all done, flags, music, flowers, everything festive. Miss Gutman & I wrote letters a while. Then went downtown & heard bands &c. &c. Then met Con & he took us up to Highland Park to lunch-
