tired next day – Edith took Hilda to Mabel’s school in the morning and I had lunch with them at the Whitcomb grill – then we all went to the matinee – “El Capitan" at Baker’s. It was warm & there was a thunder shower. The opera was “oh, pretty rocky”, as Claude says. Mrs. Allen & Florence Beach were there. Afterward we had phosphate & sat in Powers Hotel & waited for the rain to stop – Then Hilda & I stopped for Mary & we all went up there to supper & all thro’ the house & “grounds” & ended for a chat in Mary’s room – but all went home early as all of us were sleepy – we were in bed about 10, after a chat with Mama – and

asleep right off. Thursday noon I took Hilda’s picture (timed) in her evening dress. She went down to Edith’s to supper & in the evening John Hilliard came up and did tricks for us - Besides the family & Hilda, Con, Mary James
, Nellie, Mr. Flack, Frank & Helen Davis, Lura, Geo. Humphrey & Edith and Jno & Mae Stull came in late,
