was nothing wonderful - tho' very bright & clean & funny. Both the young people were well bred & charming. I'd like to see it again. April 26. Wednesday Pleasant, sunny day. Went up with Papa this noon and got him a handsome rattan chair for his birthday. He was quite pleased. Read to-night - tho' I sewed a little. April 27. Thurs. This is the day of the great naval parade in New York & a legal holiday. Cloudy tho' - & some rain. No bicycling or picture taking. Had a half holiday. Got my own lunch as Mama was away and about 2 went down other Ninth Ward. Spent an hour with Freddie while she tended Baby & got dressed. Decided to go to the Boston Symphony with her next week. Then went over to Edith's and played cards with her and Ned & then she made chocolate caramels and we I warded off questions of Ned's. I've decided not to go any farther than she does hereafter
