We went into the Chinese place. afterwards, & the East Indian (where
I bought Papa a sandal wood box)
Walked into the German village with
Claude, Will
Wray & Ned and then into
the "Beauty Show" with the two latter. The girls were
really very pretty. The American was a bold, flirty little beauty,
of course, & also the French. There was a "Harem" & a pretty
little Irish girls &c.&c. also a handsome Bedouin musician -
a man. We had some soda. Met
Claude again at the Woman's
Bldg.
and then took a trip of an hour around the lagoons in one of the
lovely little electric launches - among the ducks & gondolas.
The Japanese tea garden looked most picturesque. We
went to the "Puck" Building & saw just how the magazine
was made from the beginning and then took the Illinois Central home
- found Mrs. Allen &
Ed
