by mistake & getting lost in the Art Bldg. Came home after 10. Wednesday. Aug. 9 Pleasant but uneventful. Frank caught up with me this noon & walked down the hill with me. He has been to the Fair with his chum! He wants to come up next week & show me his new glasses - and he was enthusiastic over "Lady Nicotine Ned tried hard to get me to go down home with her - but I wanted her to come up instead. Lay in the hammock & read. Thursday. Aug 10. Very warm. Not at all busy & too hot at the office even to "kill time" Susie Parker of Dansville was here to dinner. Read this evening and Papa read aloud to Mama & me Friday. Aug. 11. A blazing hot day. J.W. didn't come down this p.m. J.G. only
