had quite a jolly visit. She told Mama
it depended on me whether they went to Pleasant
Point or not. She insists she'd get sick of Edith.
Edith says its settled they're going
tho' and I hope to goodness they will.
She'll be so disappointed. Saw 'em on the car of course - with 3 kisses!
A lovely night. Edith brought
cherries.
July 7. Friday
Took a long ride on "Isabella"
this am & cleaned her before breakfast - West
Ave. way
Pretty warm to-day. By arrangement, we (Claude, Mama & I)
called on the Parkers at the
Jenkinson - I wore my
organdie. They showed us their photographs - Mexico -
California - Nova Scotia -
Florida - &c. They are going to the Fair in August and then abroad
till January. It was so hot, we went to Curran's
& I had phosphate & then to Lovejoy's
for ice cream. Had got about half thro' when we walked the
Parker's! for same - walked home slow.
Hot.
July 8. Sat.
Very warm day, but I have a horrid cold on my lungs. Got a
violet from Frank
last night, thank- ing me for "Lady Nicotine" which I
sent him after reading it,
